Latitude Festival 2016 announce dance line up!

So we know the musical line up for this year’s Latitude Festival, with the likes of The Maccabees, The National, New Order, Grimes, Kurt Vile and the Violaters and Of Monsters and Men headlining the weekend from the 14th-17th July. However it’s now time to find out who’ll be joining this not to be missed weekend in the worlds of dance and theatre!

Odyssey @ The VAULT Festival Review

The Vaults is a cavernous multiplex of creative spaces and bars found in the graffitied corridors under train tracks leaving Waterloo. It oozes a cool friendliness akin to the warmest of creative hubs. Arrive early or stay late because you’ll want to spend a decent amount of time there. Ushered into one of the compartments branching off the central thoroughfare, one bloke lay dramatically prostrate before us. Reservations about melodramatic physical theatre and interpretive dance are quickly washed away when our bard, George Mann, arises to tell us the story of Homer’s Odyssey.

Light @ The Pit, Barbican (London International Mime Festival) Review

In Theatre Ad Infinitum’s production Light they explore the increasingly discussed and frightening idea of utter society control and surveillance. Inspired by Edward Snowden’s revelations that secret services violate our privacy for the greater good, George Mann felt urgent to create this play where control is also initially exerted to increase security with the dream of making the world a better place.
